BASTROP ADVENTURES

Bastrop State Park 10 acre Lake... hmm. It was cold. Fire damage was apparent but the lake area was still gorgeous. it was a cold day and glad we all wore long sleeves. Still the wind off he water (breeze I should say) was a little chilly. No restrooms were available close by, and there was only one defined spot to fish at, also the area canoes got in and out of the water. The cabins looked BEAUTIFUL with HUGE glass windows and lovely views of the lakeside.

Big girl, first one with her pole in the water. Posing for Mommy already!

The rocks weren't even uncomfortable. Was nice to sit so close to the water.
It made it easy for Lily to cast too.

A nice spot she found all on her own. I love her chucks. She almost has tying them by herself down!

The Lake at Bastrop State Park.

Multitasking fishergirl... Still wiggling that front tooth.

Grandpappy caught a sardine!

Grammy and Lily. She looks like she's telling a FISH STORY!!

she looks so funny when she runs!!!
I love that they have tetherball, more than one!!!
This is at Bastrop Lake South Shores

Danny and his Dad on one of the two fishing piers.

a cabin one of at least 50, across the way with private boat docks, outside tables and grills.
A bouyed off swimming area as well. Very well maintained!

When we weren't catching fish, she enjoyed the clean sand, just like the ocean beach.
We could've made a sand castle - Who knew? I would've brought sand toys!

Toobers of a different kind!

There is a HUGE Blue Heron. Can you spot him?

Just a swinging. There was another little boy her age,
BUT HE RAN FROM HER - TWICE!!! - and made her cry so she was a little upset.

Lake Bastrop is a MUCH bigger lake! Very Nice! About 2 miles down the road from Bastrop State Park. Amenities appeared to be more plentiful and well kept as well.

Daddy's fish

"No! I don't want to touch it!"

Hide and seek with Daddy after Grammy and Mommy played and charades and a walk....

Fishing was no good on a cloudy, drizzly day!

Pretty place though!
