technologically friendly/unfriendly

I have had cable TV now for about 3 months. The 1st two we lived here we didn't. I was a cable hater, missing Direct TV. However our apt makes you have renters insurance and pay a hefty deposit to install Direct TV. So... I had been putting off learning to use all the recording functions and just read the literature on it (yes, 3 months later). Yea... easy breezy same as Direct, pretty much and you can start a program from the beginning if you catch something good after it has started. LOL! Technology had me put off, but it is soooo easy! Just gotta get of the pot and take advantage of what it has to offer.

Texas Preparatory of San Marcos

Lily will be going to a Charter School called Texas Preparatory School. She got the last Kindergarden spot and Danny is going to register her today. She will go to, and get to see her knew school. YAY! So excited and I think this school and this MOVE altogether has been GREAT for our family!!!

I played a little game... You look at a word search full of words (like a word search but without a list of words), adjectives describing people's attributes. The first 4 you find describe you... These were mine. I immediately asked myself, would I want someone to use those adjectives to describe me? WHY YES, I WOULD! And I would love to call someone friend whom I could say the same about!

Lake McQueeney

Oh Lordy. For once I gave up! We went on search of this lake between Sequin and New Braunfels. I missed the turn after driving right by the town of McQueeney and seeing the dam... (beautiful!) and my navigator took me to the reminencse of a natural disaster scene (so it seemed) mobile home park from hell! It was the most God awful place to live. I couldn't believe the homes were inhabited. It was disqusting. The roads were horrible and speed bumps the size of logs. UGH! So I now know where I went wrong. Next time I will find what I am looking for. It is on the Texas Park's website... there is excellent bass fishing there. We've gotta take another run at it. I just don't want to end up in the hands of deliverance again. SCARY!!!


I looked all over for directions, some description of maybe a boat launch, restaurant, fishing report... NOTHING. If it does exisit they keep it pretty hidden!!! I'm telling you once I find it, and if it's worth anything... I'm putting directions and pictures all over the web so if you want to go there you don't have my horrible first experience. I am still trying on Texas State Parks for a map of some kind... Nothing in exisitance I tell you!

LOL! It is a no Public Access Lake! BLAH! I'm gonna float down the river into their lake and catch their fishies anyway! NO WONDER!!!
