technologically friendly/unfriendly
I have had cable TV now for about 3 months. The 1st two we lived here we didn't. I was a cable hater, missing Direct TV. However our apt makes you have renters insurance and pay a hefty deposit to install Direct TV. So... I had been putting off learning to use all the recording functions and just read the literature on it (yes, 3 months later). Yea... easy breezy same as Direct, pretty much and you can start a program from the beginning if you catch something good after it has started. LOL! Technology had me put off, but it is soooo easy! Just gotta get of the pot and take advantage of what it has to offer.
WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS... READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!!

CAMPING BLANCO STATE PARK
Lily Fisher Girl caught LOTS of Sunfish - SKUNKED HER DADDY!!!
That's the largest one... bigger than her hand.
CAMPING IS SO MUCH FUN!!!
When her Daddy asked her what her favorite part of camping was, she said, fishing. LOL
Our cabin for the night.
a little closer
CUTEST CAMPER!!!
Lily's 1st camping trip Aug 9th-10th, 2012 Blanco State Park
view of Blanco River from our 'front porch'
Beautiful giant shade trees umbrella over from us to the shore
Terraced, and a small 'fire pit' to grill or have a campfire
Lily loved 'our new apartment' and we didn't even have to set up the tent!
Hind sight... we should've
because this enclosure though cooler during the daytime,
is MUCH warmer at night,
not letting the breeze blow through on two sides.
The afternoon sun on our little shelter must've warmed it up!
Pretty big, that's a queen sized blow up air mattress
Two sides are screened and two boarded over screen with slats for shade but minimizes the air flow...
possible designed for summer and winter use?
There was electricity, lighting and a ceiling fan :-)
However the table is also concrete so you cannot rearrange your furniture...
Testing the mattress for Mommy. 'Nope not enough air yet'
That's better... just right!
Time to go toobing in the slowest moving river ever...
Danny paddled us down
to where we could swim.
there was shade out of the water, but not in it...
SWIMMING!!! Time to cool off!!!
CUTIE Tootie!
Scenic shots from our NOT so PRIMTIVE CAMPING..
our snake infested fishing hole right down from our cabin
pavillion next door - it was quiet during our stay though
